Our first Target Warehouse Sale was 12 years ago. Scopos (then Shooter's Technology) was a fraction of our size today. Our very first "warehouse" was a public storage locker. In it we could fit about 15 pallets worth of targets. At the time all we sold were air rifle, air pistol, and 50ft rifle targets.
That first Target Warehouse Sale came about because we were growing and needed to move our inventory to a bigger warehouse. Not wanting to physically move the inventory, we came up with this sale to sell off as much as we could. We offered big discounts in bulk shipping. When the shipping day came, we boxed all the packages of targets up on the same day and UPS picked up directly from the storage facility. It was a win-win. Our customers got a big discount and we had a lot less heavy packages of targets to move.
