2024 National Air Rifle New Shooter and Air Pistol League: Week Nine Results

Week 9 is over and we are now in the final week of the 2024 Scopos National New Shooter and Air Pistol Leagues. Some teams are already done shooting, as they have a scheduled bye for week 10. For the remainder, we can expect to see some interesting matchups as teams pine for the top places in both Leagues. Teams are still putting up season-best scores in week 9, with more sure to come this week. As a reminder, the New Shooter League seeks to reward not just competition success but also participation and improvement. As such, every team has a chance to earn medals at the end of the League.

National Leagues Now Available on Rezults

The Scopos National Leagues can now be found on Rezults. Links for the remainder of this season will still go to the Orion Results website, but to view the standings and matches on Rezults, visit the following links.

Eldorado NJROTC Bests LeMoore NJROTC

Eldorado NJROTC will go into week 10 after shooting their highest score of the season so far, defeating LeMoore NJROTC. Their win also moved them up a handful of places in the New Shooter League. Eldorado will finish off the season against Vilseck AJROTC while LeMoore will match up against current first place Jack C. Hays MCJROTC.

Stony Point High School Outshoots Georgetown NJROTC

Stony Point High School rendered their 4th win in a row, and 6th overall, in week 9 against Georgetown NJROTC. They are currently in 4th place, between Saint Thomas Academy and ILTexas Katy Westpark High School. Stony Point’s final match will be against Zion Benton NJROTC. Georgetown is done for the season with a bye in week 10.

Kelly Walsh MCJROTC Outdoes Ramona NJROTC

Kelly Walsh MCJROTC had a strong week nine, also shooting their highest score of the season against Ramona NJROTC. They currently sit less than 1 point behind Eldorado NJROTC. Kelly Walsh’s final match will be against SH Rider AJROTC and Ramona is done for the season, with a bye for the final week.

Michigan Distinguished Junior Pistol Club Defeats South County Rod and Gun Club

Michigan Distinguished Junior Pistol Team collected their 4th win of the season last week, defeating South County Rod & Gun Club. Michigan is steadily in 4th place in the Air Pistol League. Their final match will be against Lafayette Gun Club, whom they shot against in week 5. South County is done for the season as week 10 is their bye week.
